EVERY DAM GOOD STORY

HAS TO START SOMEWHERE.

Ours started with an old mill, a pile of lumber, and one of Phil’s ideas.

BEFORE THERE WAS A BREWERY

The Old Long Pond Mill had been standing beside Long Pond for about as long as anyone could remember.

Its wheel turned. Its saws ran. And for generations, the mill provided lumber for just about anything that needed building—or rebuilding—around town.

Eventually the saws went quiet, the wheel stopped turning, and the old mill began showing its age. Most folks figured its working days were over.

But Phil had one of his Dam Good ideas.

THE MILL WASN'T DONE YET

Phil didn't see an abandoned mill. He saw an opportunity.

So Phil did what Phil does. He called Archie.

The plan was simple: turn the Old Long Pond Mill into Beaver Butt Brewing Co.

At least, Phil thought it was simple. Archie knew otherwise.

The old timbers, stone, hardware, water wheel, and anything else worth saving were repurposed and became part of the new brewery.

Archie handled the engineering.

Phil handled the vision.

That's how they work best.

SOME THINGS ARE WORTH SAVING

It wasn’t a restoration. And it certainly wasn’t a replica.

It was a second life.

A place built from something that had already spent generations bringing people together—now ready to do it all over again.

Just with beer this time.

AND THAT’S HOW WE GOT HERE

Inside The Brewery.png

Beaver Butt Brewing Co. may have started with an old mill and one of Phil’s ideas, but the brewery was never just about the beer.

It’s about the stories, and the characters who somehow keep finding their way through the door.

Some come to socialize. Some come to sip. Some come to offer advice nobody asked for.

And some, like Lance, apparently just never leave.

Around here, there’s always another beer to pour, another story to tell, and another dam good idea that probably should have been thought through a little better.
